What is the Torque Jacket? The Rab Torque jacket is aimed squarely at technical mountain users which is pretty obvious from its looks and design. The Torque jacket is packed with technical and useful features yet remains one of the lightest softshell jackets in Rab's extensive range.
What is it made of?Matrix fabric, developed by Rab, is used in different weights to maximise the performance characteristics of each. Light weight Matrix DWS (Double Weave Stretch) is used to provide stretch comfort and superb breathability and this is reinforced with heavy duty ripstop Matrix SWS on the elbows and hood to protect the areas where the most abrasion occurs. Matrix is a densely woven, non membrane, nylon softshell fabric offering wind and water resistance and superb breathability making it perfect for more active mountain pursuits such as climbing and scrambling. Please note, this does
not make it waterproof; you'll still need a proper hardshell for those truly horrendous conditions.
What are the features? The Torque jacket features a fully adjustable and helmet compatible hood with a proper wired peak, two large chest napoleon pockets and an adjustable drop hem.
How does it fit?The Torque fits into Rab’s ‘Regular’ fit block, meaning it sits a bit looser than their ‘slim’ fit so you can fit an extra layer on underneath in the chillier months.
