The longer version of our iconic everyday mountain jacket has been upgraded. With its zoned baffles, active cut and extended hem, the new recycled Women’s Microlight Alpine Long Jacket is right at home wherever you choose to take it.
The Women’s Microlight Alpine Long Jacket is built to perform both as an everyday outer and a mountain mid-layer. It features zoned micro and nano baffles for improved core warmth without restrictive weight or bulk. Built from recycled 30D Pertex® Quantum ripstop nylon with GRS-certified P.U.R.E 700FP recycled hydrophobic down, it also features a range of practical outdoor features. They include a large zipped chest pocket, plus a pair of lower zipped hand pockets, lifted above the waistline to stay clear of a climbing harness. They also include a storm flap, a drawcord-adjustable hem, glove-friendly elasticated cuffs and an insulated hood with stiffened peak for warmth and protection in changeable conditions.
With its fully recycled fabrics and down, redesigned style and optimised down distribution, the Women’s Microlight Alpine Long Jacket is an intelligent update on a best-selling classic.
How to measure.
Chest: Measure the full circumference of your chest just below your armpits.
Waist: Find the top of your hip and measure the full circumference around your body.
Arm length: Measure horizontally from the centre of your back, across the shoulder, over a naturally bent elbow and down to the wrist fold.
Hips: Measure around the widest part of your hip area.
While all our garments are sized to these measurements, you will find that the cut on jackets designed for use in more extreme environments will be slightly more generous in the expectation that these designs will be used with additional/thicker midlayers. If you plan on using a jacket like this with fewer layers beneath it, please keep this in mind when selecting your size.
All garments are designed and fitted to suit their intended end use. See below for a general description of our fit categories:
Regular: Neither slim nor loose. Regular fit items are the perfect balance of form fit and ease of movement.
Slim: A streamlined silhouette. Cut trim following the contours of the body. Expertly placed articulation of seams and the use of stretch fabric ensure maximum freedom of movement in these close-fitting items.
Relaxed: Our more generous fit. Cut loosely through the body allowing for ease of movement and additional layering.
Expedition: Designed specifically to accommodate the layering system and equipment required for high altitude and polar expeditions.
