Versatile and warm, the Cubit Stretch Down Parka is the perfect winter jacket for an active lifestyle. Giving a second life to quality down that might have otherwise ended up in landfill, the Cubit Stretch Down Parka is filled with the 700FP P.U.R.E recycled down.
The parka has been built with Pertex® 3D Weave Technology, which means the baffles can be woven from a single stretch fabric without any stitching. This improves down lofting, increases wind resistance, reduces weight, and allows the material to flex as you move. The outer Pertex® Quantum fabric itself is breathable, wind and weather resistant with a fluorocarbon-free DWR finish, making the parka ideal for winter walking and evenings by the campfire.
The Cubit Stretch Down Parka has a cosy down filled hood and a flattering, slim cut for an ultra-snug feel in bitter winter weather. It has a durable YKK® VISLON® front zip with a soft, fleece lined chin guard and two spacious zipped hand pockets, perfect for stashing gloves and snacks.
Pertex® 3D Weave Technology allows baffles to be woven from a single fabric, eliminating the need for stitching. This maximises the performance of the down lofting and improves down retention. Overall, the weight of the garment is reduced, and wind resistance is increased, whilst allowing the fabric to flex as you move.
How to measure.
Chest: Measure the full circumference of your chest just below your armpits.
Waist: Find the top of your hip and measure the full circumference around your body.
Arm length: Measure horizontally from the centre of your back, across the shoulder, over a naturally bent elbow and down to the wrist fold.
Hips: Measure around the widest part of your hip area.
While all our garments are sized to these measurements, you will find that the cut on jackets designed for use in more extreme environments will be slightly more generous in the expectation that these designs will be used with additional/thicker midlayers. If you plan on using a jacket like this with fewer layers beneath it, please keep this in mind when selecting your size.
All garments are designed and fitted to suit their intended end use. See below for a general description of our fit categories:
Regular: Neither slim nor loose. Regular fit items are the perfect balance of form fit and ease of movement.
Slim: A streamlined silhouette. Cut trim following the contours of the body. Expertly placed articulation of seams and the use of stretch fabric ensure maximum freedom of movement in these close-fitting items.
Relaxed: Our more generous fit. Cut loosely through the body allowing for ease of movement and additional layering.
Expedition: Designed specifically to accommodate the layering system and equipment required for high altitude and polar expeditions.
